Paris, France: Indian shooting sensation Manu Bhaker has once again showcased her brilliance, securing a spot in the Women’s 25m Pistol final at the Paris Olympics 2024. With a stunning performance, she finished second in the qualification round, adding to India’s impressive medal tally.
The 22-year-old, already a two-time Olympic bronze medalist, delivered exceptional performances in both the precision and rapid rounds, scoring a combined 590 points. This puts her just two points behind the leader, Veronika Major of Hungary, who tied the Olympic record.
Unfortunately, Esha Singh couldn’t replicate the same success and missed out on the final, finishing 18th in the qualification.
India’s shooting contingent continues to impress, with three medals already secured. Manu Bhaker’s two bronzes and Swapnil Kusale’s bronze in the 50m rifle three-positions have put the country in the spotlight.
All eyes are now on Manu as she aims for her third Olympic medal in the upcoming final.
